As we have grown steadily in the last 5 years, CCP is looking for a Full Time Company Safety Manager to refine our existing policies and programs. While we have pre task plans, bi-weekly safety meetings, job site inspections, tool and equipment trainings, and more- we are looking for someone to bring it all together and take the Company to the next level. This is a new position that would entail incorporating your background and our current policies / programs to step up our game here at CCP. Your time would be spent in the field performing jobsite inspections and trainings, as well as in the office preparing for safety meetings, recording to various reporting agencies, training new hires, as well as retraining employees on various safety topics / tools. While you would not be reinventing the wheel, you do have the opportunity to make the position your own, being that this is a new position.

Company Safety Manager is responsible for promoting a safe work environment for all employees (client and contractor) and construction projects. Safety Manager will administer and coordinate CCP’s safety compliance program.  This position is responsible for identifying, eliminating and controlling hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and or property damage using job safety standards, best management practices and Company policies and regulations


  • Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field
  • Minimum 2 years experience post degree

 Preferred Background  

We are aware you may not be knowledgeable in all of the below, however the following are preferred:

  • Strong knowledge in OSHA standards to include but not limed to Excavation, Confined Space Entry, Hazardous Materials and Heavy Mobile equipment safety
  • Certifications OSHA 500 qualified instructor for 10 & 30 Hours in Construction Safety and Instructor of 1st Aid and CPR preferred


  • Minimum of a certificate in a related construction area and have 3 years of experience with instruction safety and in-depth understanding of:
  • Excavation and Trenching
  • Confined space entry
  • Heavy Equipment
  • Incident / Near Miss investigation including Root Cause
  • Workers’ compensation
  • Emergency response planning and procedures
  • First Aid and CPR.
  • Experienced with 3rd Party Safety Verification Vendors (ISN, Avetta, Veriforce)
  • Valid Driver’s License

Job Description Detail

  • Expected to spend a minimum of 30% of time in the field observing and coaching co-workers to ensure compliance and set expectations
  • Make recommendations concerning situations hazardous to employee safety or health
  • Preparing and enforcing policies to establish a culture of health and safety
  • Serves as a resources to co-workers by answering questions about safety and sharing lessons learned
  • Ensure all new hire and annual safety trainings are completed and documented
  • Conduct Safety meetings and training for employees either one-on-one or in group settings on policies, regulations and procedures
  • Investigating accidents and developing measures to prevent recurrences
  • Ensure project teams have safety equipment and resources
  • Maintain Health and Safety Manuals, including SDS manual
  • Candidate may be required to be available on weekends as emergency scenarios dictate
  • Comply with Company’s policies and procedures
  • Represent the Company in a professional manner
  • Maintain confidentiality of Company and Client information
