Foreman: Sewer and Water Repair/Installation

The outside underground Sewer and Water Forman is responsible for running the day-to day operations of their crew. As a working foreman, their main concern is ensuring employees under their management do the jobs skillfully and efficiently while making sure assigned work progresses in a safe and timely manner. Foreman will also perform skilled and related work as required.
Experience/Education Requirements
- Five years’ experience laying and repairing waterlines, sanitary sewers, storm drainage and working around utilities
- Knowledge and experience in the following:
– Trench shoring protections (shoring, sheeting, benching)
– Sewer repair (typically 6”-24” sizes and deeper than 10’)
– Water service line repairs (copper, galvanized and lead)
– Watermain repair (4”-16”) and
– Watermain/pressure tapping - Successful drug, alcohol, MVR and background screening
Job Description Detail
- Coordinate with Project Manager in developing the plan for work, communicating with subcontractors, engineers, and clients
- Supervise multiple people, safely, efficiently, and productively
- Responsible for job setup; Reading/understanding blueprints/drawings, JHA, permits, order and schedule equipment and material(s) deliveries
- Lead the repair / installation of Sewer and Water mains, services, and tie-ins
- Ensure job equipment and tools are maintained in good working order and safe for use
- Maintain a clean job site: ensure all tools and equipment are picked up and job site is secured each day
- Ability to observe safety and security procedures and use equipment and materials properly and effectively to eliminate potential hazards
- Coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery and personnel
- Delegate individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors
- Lead daily pre-tasks and participate in safety meetings and all other Company-issued training as assigned
- Support the Company’s safety program
- Comply with Company’s policies and procedures
- Represent the Company in a professional manner
- Maintain confidentiality of Company and Client information
